Ryan Shupe And The Rubberband Is Coming to Snake River!

The Snake River Fine Arts Association is excited to announce that bluegrass sensation Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband will be performing at Snake River High School on Saturday, Nov. 1st, at 7:30 p.m.

The five man band hails from Salt Lake City and has an impressive following across the country.

Bluegrass Unlimited says, “Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand has a crossover style that is fresh and unlike any other. Their self-dubbed PostHeeHawFunkadelicHipHopNewgrass sound is a ““Fresh hybrid of new music influenced by bluegrass but featuring the percussive fervor of rock, rap and other styles . . . They bring imaginative arrangements and daring musicianship to their quintet sound.””

To read more about them and listen to some music samples, visit shupe.net.

In addition to the concert, you can get involved with the band several other times while they’re here.  Activities on Nov. 1st will include:

  • Cowboy dutch oven dinner from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. ($12 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under)

A Call for Halloween Helpers!

We are looking for volunteers to help with our carnival.  Not only is the carnival a lot of fun for our children, but it is a great way to show our teachers that we care.  The carnival is the Foundations main fundraiser and we need your help to make it a success.  We are asking for volunteers to create carnival games and “guess how many” jars.  We need volunteers who would be willing to staff game and ticket sale booths.  The carnival with be held Friday, October 25th.  Please call  Julie at 681-7245.  101202525.jpg.rendition.largest.l
