Two Weeks Left Before Footloose

Footloose Cast,

Last week was great! We can finally see it all coming together, or at least, starting to come together. 🙂 We still need 2 more weeks of good rehearsals. So,

EVERYONE PLEASE BE AT ALL REHEARSALS THIS WEEK! – EXCEPT Children only need to come on Saturday.

Thurs, 6:30-9:30pm; Fri, 6:30-9:30pm; Sat, 8:00am.

PROPS: We are looking for one more table, preferably something like a small cafeteria table with the bench/chairs attached, like a fold out picnic table. If anyone has one or knows where we can find one, please call me (684-9838 or Julie Hudson 684-4748.)

CAST PARTY: We have decided to have a cast party on Saturday morning, March 2nd, before the final show. It will be held in the high school cafeteria. We hope to see all of you there!! You will receive some food assignments or other information soon.

COSTUMES: Almost everyone has all of their costumes. Now, just look for some accessories that will finish them off, like rhinestones or bling for the Chicago scene, 80’s style earrings for the girls, skinny ties for the boys, etc.

MAKE-UP: You will need to get some of your own make-up. For 8th grade and younger, please get your own foundation. Everyone needs to get their own eye liner, mascara and lipstick – dark brown eye liner/mascara for boys/men and black for girls/women, dark bright lip color for females, dark neutrals for males. Everyone please bring a can of good hairspray. If anyone has stage make-up, please bring it! Mandy Wayland is the chief of make-up. Her phone # is 604-3631 and she welcomes all questions and suggestions.

Thanks everyone!
Karen

3 Weeks Till Show Time!

Hey Ladies and Gents of the Footloose Cast,

We’re down to 3 weeks till show time! We hope you are all having a great time! Here’s what’s up:

WE WANT ALL CAST MEMBERS TO BE TO ALL REHEARSALS FROM NOW ON!! (The only exception to this is children, see below.) THIS IS POLISHING TIME. ON THURSDAY, WE WILL RUN THROUGH THE ENTIRE SHOW, BEGINNING TO END, SO PLEASE BE THERE FOR THAT, IF POSSIBLE! AFTER THAT, WHENEVER YOU ARE NOT WORKING WITH PAUL ON STAGE, YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH DEANNE ON VOCALS OR WITH KASSIDY OR HANNAH ON CHOREOGRAPHY. WE’VE GOT A LOT TO WORK ON SO COME EVERY DAY READY TO GIVE YOUR BEST FOR 3-4 HOURS.

Times are Thursday – 6:30pm, Friday – 6:30pm, Saturday – 8:00am

Children, please come for Thursday’s complete run through. Then you’ll have your usual practice on Friday at 7:00. I don’t know about Saturday, yet, but please be prepared to come for a little bit on that day, too, if we need you. We’ll tell you that decision on Thursday.

Costumes – all cast members, please bring your costumes Thursday and show them to Angela McCandless for approval. If you have any questions, please call her at 684-3402 or 680-5979.

Make-Up – please let me know if you have any stage make-up of your own. You can reply to this e-mail or call me at 684-9838 or 221-9838. You do not have to go buy any, but we’d like to get a count of how many have some of their own.

Parents, we will need 1 or 2 parents each night of dress rehearsals and performance nights to be back stage with the children when they are not on stage, helping them get ready/entertaining/supervising. Those dates are Thursday, 2/21 – Saturday, 2/23 and Monday, 2/25 – Saturday, 3/2. If you can help for a few of those days please let me know, and if you are willing to organize this part of the play, please let me know that, too. I’d just as soon let the parents work this out with each other.

Parents, we will also need 2 people to take tickets at the door each performance evening. If you would be willing to help with this any of those nights, please let me know.

Posters – hopefully, you all put up the posters that you took after practice last Thursday. If you didn’t, get them up ASAP! If it isn’t going to work to put them up, please get them back to me ASAP! Those are wasted money if we don’t get them up somewhere so people can see them! You can also get more postcards to give to friends/family at each practice.

Tickets – We have tickets ready! If you want some, just bring the money and give to Marlynn Williams (684-9684) at rehearsal. They are $5 each, no group discounts. She will have them at each rehearsal, if you want to get some from her there. Remember Paul Page’s offer to give $50 to whomever sells the most!

Alright, that’s it for now. Thanks for all of your help in making this work!
Karen
